Brett started racing 1/4 midgets at age 5. In 1993 Brett won the Pa. State Championship at Twin Hickory Speedway in the Independent B Class. In 1995 Brett started racing Karts at the Shellhammers Speedway ,1999 was his last season in the karts. Brett was the 1998 JR. Restricted point champion. In the 5 seasons he raced there he posted a top 5 point finish in his class. Brett raced multiple classes the last 3 seasons. Brett also won at the Oreville Kart Club which is a asphalt road course.

In 2000 Brett made the move to the Micro Sprint division and competed in the Rookie Class at Greenwood Valley and also race at the Kutztown Fairgrounds. He won 3 Rookie Features and a Non-Wing Race at Greenwood Valley. His best Kutztown finish was a 2nd, at seasons end he was named the 2000 Rookie of the Year. Brett also has wins at the Kutztown Fairgrounds 2001, and a feature win at the Shippensburg Speedway in 2002. Brett placed 10th in the nation in the inaugural season of the Valvoline Cup. Brett will be competing in the Valvoline Cup again in 2003.

2003 was another great season for Brett. He had 4 feature wins, 2 at Lindas Speedway and 2 at Lake Moc A Tek.
Brett finished 3rd in Lindas Speedway points. Brett shined in big events in 2003. Brett was Northeast Nationals winner at Lake Moc A Tek.Then finished 2nd at The Lindas Speedway National Open after starting 25th ,and also won the Hard Charger Award. Brett was also recognized as the Most Improved 270 Driver Lindas Speedway and Checkered Flag Fan Club's Most Improved Open Cockpit Driver 2003.

2004 was Brett's first full season in the 600 class. He picked up Feature Wins at Lindas Speedway ( 2 ) ,Hill Valley Speedway ( 2 ) The Fairgrounds At Kutztown ( 1) Greenwood Vally ( 1 ) . Brett Finished 4th in the point standings at both Linda's Speedway and the Kutztown Fairgrounds. He finished 6th in the 2004 Valvoline Cup . Brett also completed in selected events in Bob Autons 270 cc Micro Sprint picking up wins in the first 2 races . The wins came at Hill Valley Speedway and Gamblers Raceway park.
Brett graduated from Kutztown High School in 2002 . He was a member of the wrestling team and was a 4 year varsity letter winner and a District qualifier in 2002. Away from the track Brett plays in Roller and Dek hockey leagues.


2005 was a very exciting year for Brett and the team .Brett had 11 feature wins with the 600 and 1 win in the 270's driving a car for Kerry Griffith in the 270 class. Brett got to race one of Mike Miller's ARDC Midgets at the Lincoln Speedway and finished in the top 10 in both features. Brett was invited to compete in a special race at the Grandview Speedway ,Bob Miller included the 600 class in his Thunder On The Hill 5 25 's program. Brett picked up the win at Grandview.

Brett finished 3rd in Linda's Speedway 600 points ,2nd in points at the Kutztown Fairgrounds and 4th in points at Greenwood Valley.
